Learn about infrared ceramic heaters

Dashu ceramic infrared heating transmitters are functional elements of infrared ceramic heaters, saunas, infrared heating panels, heated tunnel ovens and other infrared heating systems. Offers excellent performance for commercial and industrial use.

Ceramic heating elements can provide at least 10,000 heating/cooling cycles with 100% efficiency under ambient cold air convection conditions.

Ceramic heater application

Ceramic infrared heat emitters have a wide range of industrial and commercial applications that require efficient non-contact heat sources. Although ceramic far-infrared emitters come in a variety of colors, sizes, and curved shapes, they are more durable than quartz.

Commonly used in thermoforming, cooking, curing, packaging - ceramic heating elements are an excellent choice for drying paint or clay and removing moisture.

Ceramic IR emitters feature a protective splash-proof and non-corrosive glaze coating, making them easy to clean and use in food handling, medical facilities and preservative applications.

Ceramic infrared heating elements are also very effective in infrared outdoor patio heaters and infrared saunas.

Are ceramic infrared heating elements good for a sauna?

If you decide to buy infrared ceramic heating elements for your sauna, you need to figure out what they are for and how they work. Their main purpose is to provide a comfortable indoor temperature. However, this type of heater provides a different amount of heat than conventional stoves or electric heaters.

Since infrared radiation is the core of their thermal energy, they heat people and objects, not air. The infrared ceramic heating element heats up almost immediately after being switched on. Ceramic emitters generate healthy and safe sun-like heat with no negative effects on the body. In a sauna, they are usually installed in the upper part of the room (on the wall or ceiling) and point to a shelf or seat where people sit while relaxing. The main advantage of infrared ceramic heating elements is their heating efficiency because, unlike convection heaters, they do not need to be turned on hours in advance to heat the sauna.

Are infrared ceramic heaters safe or dangerous?

In general, all infrared heaters are completely safe for humans. Because they directly heat objects in space, there is no need to heat the air. Therefore, these types of heaters do not dry out the air nor burn the oxygen in the space. Also, unlike convection heaters that use fans to dissipate heat, they don't move heated air with lots of dust particles.

Infrared heaters do not cause cancer. Even though their heating works like the sun, there is no UV radiation. So no sunburn or tanning of the skin, and more importantly - no cancer is possible.

Ceramic infrared emitters are also considered safe as they do not overheat and are not affected by voltage surges. All modern heaters have an automatic shut-off switch in case of a fall or overheating. You can safely leave the infrared heater on overnight.
